Well, tomorrow I will be going through my pantry and fridge and chucking out all of the tempting, empty calorie junk food. Yes. You heard right! I will be throwing out chocolate and biscuits and anything that is not considered a wholefood.
I have joined Michelle Bridge’s (The Biggest Loser Weight Loss & Fitness Trainer) online Mind & body Transformation course. Desperate times call for desperate measures!
The pre season stuff was emailed to us in October, so I have gradually been incorporating some changes such as no snacking after dinner, drinking more water and cutting out fruit juice and the biggest one of all, regular and consistent exercise. I am quite pleased with the exercise component. I have enjoyed getting up and out at 6am for a 1 hour walk and going to a yoga session once a week. It’s the food habits that I have struggled with. I know that come this Thursday, I will be embarking on a pretty rigid diet of only 1200 calories per day. Knowing this has made me want white wine and chocolate even more!
Why am I telling you all of this?
One of the warm up activities before the 12 weeks commence, is for us to ‘announce’ our commitment to this weight loss and fitness programme in order to make us accountable to ourselves and our goals.
I am both excited and daunted and NO, I won’t be posting up pics of my before and after underwear-only, clad body! Those pics are buried deep in the photo folder in my hard drive where no one but me will see them!
It is a very well thought out, supportive programme. If you are interested in finding out more, here is the link to the Facebook page which will direct you to the web page. https://www.facebook.com/12wbt?fref=ts
Wish me luck!
ps. a very wise woman recently told me that I shouldn’t say “I am going to lose ‘x’ amount of kilo’s” as that would imply that I would be looking for what I had lost. Rather, I shall be saying in the very near future…”I have given away ‘x’ amount of kilo’s and I definitely do NOT want them back!! 🙂
