You might be a bit like me…I think a lot. Right now I can’t stop thinking about the wars and the suffering going on in this world. Believe me, I would really like to stop thinking about it. Hide myself away in this bubble of what I consider, in the grand scheme of things…a blessed life. Self preservation of emotional, bodily and spiritual wellbeing makes me want to hide away, turn away from the TV screen and my news feeds. To protect myself and my family from the horror and tragedy in the world. I shield my children’s eyes and ears from the truth because we were lucky enough to be born at a time and in a country where there is no war…yet. Because I believe that we should live in the moment and teach our children to do the same, whilst they do not have the cognitive ability to understand worldly things. They must be allowed to live in the moment, without adult-projected fears or worry. Given that I need to provide this ‘presents’ to my children…sometimes I have to bury my head in the sand for a few moments and live my life as it is right now and for my children and their needs. However, when I find myself alone with my thoughts to myself…my mind wanders, often whilst I am painting/creating.
During these times, I think things like this…
Why does there have to be suffering? Why are there wars going on in the world? Why do people have to die from wars? I answer myself as best as I can with what knowledge and experience I have accumulated or the universal given-wisdom that comes through to me. If we go right back to the stone age when dinosaurs roamed the earth. Man hunted, gathered, protected and grew his family. Woman created, nurtured, guided and grew her children. Man needs woman and vise versa. For without mans sperm, woman can not conceive, nor grow a baby. Without woman’s fertile ova, man cannot produce offspring to carry on his genetic line/makeup. Predators cohabited with man and woman. Man grew his protective strengths to new heights to combat and defeat predators so his children could grow and flourish. All through the ecosystem, it is a battle for survival…a mission to evolve as fully as possible to develop as a species further.
We (you and me) are no different in this cycle of life.
What if there is no universal truth as to why we are here? That we are no better nor have more right to survival based on our religion or belief than anyone else. What if we could believe that by just being here is enough? You, me, we, all, are just mean’t to be here to be and evolve. Evolve forwards, not backwards.
The answer, I believe is…. In order to stop war, women must be encouraged and supported to teach their children that boys use their strengths to build, make, create for the good of others and girls nurture themselves and others and care.
Wars occur when the balance of man and woman is off kilter and when dominance prevails over empowering. Women have the ability to quickly access their intuition and compassion. THESE are the ingredients to stop war.
Women must empower themselves and each other to respond to man in a way that fosters building and evolving for the good of others. If man is left without an equal balancing force impacting them, then competitiveness, control, greed, dominance and fighting as a solution to conflicts, can often build. Where is all the balancing forces? It’s being oppressed and WE (us women) are enabling it…permitting it. We need to be brave enough to stand up next to our men and balance them. Our girls need to be taught not to passively stand back and allow dominance and control to prevail.
Countries need more women in positions of influence in the running of a country. We can only have good women and men at the head of a nation if the mothers and fathers of these children/people, are balancing each other and allowing each other to be and to function from their strengths.
The time to evolve is NOW. Women…at the moment, we have a choice.
