Hi everyone.
Well life has certainly been full and busy around here! I hope you are all traveling well and keeping creative as often as possible.
Just to let you know, that I will be sharing another blog post very soon about my progress in undertaking the Creativity Coaching Certification Course. It has been such a hoot and profoundly transformative for me and I can’t wait to tell you more about it!
In the meantime, and as does happen once inspiration starts moving following immersion in creative exploration; the call to release my first art lesson/online class~workshop, keeps tugging at me. So I listened and heeded it’s call!
In the wee hours of this morning, I edited the 1 hour plus, video footage I have of me immersed in my studio, in a very spontaneous, intuitive art making session. It wasn’t the usual ‘How to create a Whimsical Self Portrait’ process that I was following. I was lost in a raw, feeling and intuitive place one Saturday night. I was painting for myself but decided to flick the video recorder on, just to see what might be on there, once I came out of my little arty trance. Well…that session resulted in the making of one of my personal favourites, as well as most popular pieces with collectors. ‘Spirit Wanderer, Spirit Wandering’…my lovely, sweet American Indian Girl. Although it is a piece borne out of exploring my own personal art process/practice; I have decided to share it and make it available to others to create too, if they wish.
The video image is not the highest of quality, as I filmed it at night; however I have decided I will go ahead with editing it and make it available as a stand-alone Whimsy Art Lesson/Class…my first! 🙂 The video below is a time lapsed recording of the majority of the process used to create Ms Spirit Wanderer. Again, I am lucky enough to have the awesomely talented, Brayden Sibbald’s music accompanying along to it. You can hear more of him here.
Initially, I will be editing and releasing the full art lesson without dialogue or pdf information (as that takes a LOT of time!) at a really low price. Later, once I have finished a couple of large commissioned paintings and the creativity coaching certification; I will release a second version with voice over an pdf.
