Today I was going to express how Grateful I am for something else. However, this morning whilst jogging, a rabbit darted out in front of me. I felt so grateful to have seen it and appreciate that I live in an area where there is still lots of bush land and natural vegetation to house little animals like rabbits.
It is a simple thing to have derived pleasure from and yet that is what it gave me, a little bit of joy at seeing a healthy rabbit, free to roam. Whilst it was crossing a road from one house to another, I thought how lovely for the people who live in those houses to know that rabbits feel safe enough to wander their lawns and garden. Bush land is just behind the houses so they have not roamed far.
I hope that we can honour our land enough to not rape and pillage it to the enth degree to the point where little animals have no where to go.
So for today, I am very grateful that I spotted a little rabbit enjoying it’s freedom in nature.
