I don’t normally gush about my artwork, however…

I just LOVE this lady! She’s one of my favourite pieces I’ve created so far. I have kept the original piece, however I’ve decided that she needs to be shared, loved by others and to move them emotionally as well. So I am making her available as prints as well as on iPhone cases and greeting cards, via Fine Art America.

‘Nature’s Diamond Most Wise’, is a mixed media piece on canvas that I created a month or two ago and was created in the intuitive style of painting. I was delighted when she appeared and I have kept her in my personal, reserved art collection as she speaks to me in the most deepest of ways.

I thought too, that I'd share with you my little blurb over on my fan page on Facebook, on why/how I choose to keep certain pieces, rather than just love them and let them move on to new caretakers.

"Reserved in Artists Collection
I have kept these pieces because they have spoken to me and moved me in some way. When I feel a visceral response to the thought of letting them go, I know they are mean't to stay with me and continue to enrich or guide my life in some way. Sometimes it's just the colours or merging of texture. Other times, it is the form or expression on a face or movement portrayed in a body. Perhaps I see part of my soul reflected back to me after painting it into the canvas? Pieces with insightful words and inspirational messages that help me become a better person also often stay with me. The beautiful thing is that, the pieces that speak to others, often go home with them and the pieces that are mean't to stay with me do. That is part of the wonder and mystery of intuitive painting, listening and sharing of joy and beauty. Art and creating, truly is a beautiful gift all round."

You can see more of my reserved collection over on my Facebook page at Tanya Cole Artist (*Sorry, for the life of me I can't get the link to work!)

Thanks. Feel free to share and I would love to hear of your experiences of art that moves you.
