My solo self-care sabbatical at the 5 star resort last weekend, whilst not producing a huge output of personal artwork; did allow me to consolidate in which direction I will be taking my Art/OT business next year. Whilst, I will still be treating people physically/holistically: I am also going to incorporate my more recent studies & experience, to work as an Expressive Arts Facilitator/Therapist; running small group Art & Wellness workshops; as well as 1:1 sessions for those who wish to either:
1* Just ‘play’ and access the therapeutic benefits of fun, relaxation and the pure joy of expressing themselves creatively,
2 * Want to go a little deeper into self exploration and personal insight/growth or,
3 * Access deeper work through Therapy/Counseling around unresolved issues and struggles that can emerge out of reflections from their art making.
Sounds awesomely fantabulous doesn’t it!! So energised around all of this!!
I would love to hear your thoughts on which area that you feel is more needed…1. 2 or 3? Also, if you personally would like to participate in something along these lines, either in person or via an online option such as a short e-course? This will help towards my planning and goals for 2015.
In other new news, I am currently uploading and offering my personal artwork on a broader range of art gifts and products as I have decided to merge my website with Fine Art America’s platform to make purchasing more streamline!
