I had forgotten about this interview I did for Jembellish earlier this year. Wow! It was only this year! It feels like it was a long, long time ago. We have moved house since then and I have a whole new art studio. It is amazing what you can manifest in your life when you really ask for something.
It was good to read the interview over again and remind myself that whilst painting is my passion, creativity flows into many different areas and in many different ways.

I am kind of an-all-or-nothing girl. I stopped painting years ago because I was building my career. Then I painted for a bit when my first son was older and then I stopped again when I had the two little ones. I took up sewing as it was easy to pick up/put down and pack away when there were babies crawling or toddling about.
Although I have picked up the paint brush once more and the sewing machine has been temporarily shelved, I do hope to incorporate both loves in to some mixed media pieces in the not too distant future. I just need more hours in the day! I also probably need a few of my flying sisters in the studio with me to inspire and share some ideas on how to incorporate fabric and paint and canvas. Learning curve coming up!
Anyway, I just wanted to post this link here as a reminder and a place to pop back to when I want to work out where it is I am going artistically. Perhaps there will be a little something in my story that you may be able to identify with too?
What is that saying? Something about ‘you need to know where it is you have come from to work out where it is you are going’? Something like that lol!
