Shape your news feeds to support the greater good

13/08/2014 By Tanya Cole 4 Comments

What are your eyes and minds being filled with at the moment? What is/are the main threads/tone of content in your news feeds?

I have relatives in Europe as well as business contacts and art/friends all over the world, with a lot being in the US.

The main threads/themes of posts are/have been about captured girls in Nigeria, death in the Ukraine, death in gaza and israel, political unrest, political distrust, death in iraq, threat of death with ebola, death of our food, flora and fauna and environment, the death of an icon, Robin Williams; as well as posts on peace, the power of the heart, the power of the mind, the inherent goodness and possibility in people and art posts.

A lot of the posts are so overwhelming that the sadness and fear spills over and becomes catching. I have to constantly try and shake it off, trying to balance being informed with not being contaminated.

* I think a movement needs to occur whereby we ‘love-jack’ news feeds and flood them with posts that reflect all that is good, compassion, hope possibility, peace. There are those who are using news feeds to poison and disable and convert to ill deeds. We have a choice to perpetuate this and become frozen in fear, or to let things go through the keeper and keep focused on sharing all that is good. I have struggled with this as I am driven by the need to share truth and tend to dip into my fear-pain body too easily, as the flip-side is that I hate to see others suffering.

* So, I have made the choice to not share any more posts that threaten peoples sense of security and safety. I believe I have an obligation to the collective conscious to not hot-potato my projected fears; rather lift up and promote encouraging messages only.

Who is with me? Who else feels they can make that commitment?

If we really need to balance the biased news stories we watch on TV with truth; we know we can google the other truer stories out there. But then we have an obligation to become creative with answers to offset those negative stories and then promote on social media, the positively slanted good news story…along with the hopeful heart and mind….contributing to the collective conscious progressively peaceful mind.

For we CAN create our reality…a new reality if we so wish.

Such an interesting blog post to read. So true, after all, what we through out into the universe affects us, but also so much more.

Thanks Robin. I like inspiring others, as well as to bring hope; but I am also a teller of truths. Bringing awareness to others brings with it a responsibility to be creative in also giving hope and strength for a new way of doing and being. We must encourage each other to be creative and committed in shaping our world full of love and goodness.

Me too Sandy. When I realise I have flipped over into fear mode, I do whatever I can to come back as quickly as I can to living with a hopeful heart and mind. We truly are more powerful than we can yet comprehend. Whatever vibration we are putting out into the world comes back to us. Our positive intent can offset the negative vibration and quickly transmute it back to a higher vibration that everyone around us will feel. x
