I completely lost myself in my studio whilst painting this.
I love it when you start adding paints to the canvas and you have no idea what it will evolve into. It is a process of unfolding and (hopefully) a lovely surprise when you first meet the image staring back at you from the canvas. The first meeting is sweet. So much so that you sneak back to the studio from time to time to glance at it once more with fresh eyes to confirm it is still there waiting…waiting for you decide if it is finished or will be worked on some more. Just like a good book, your painting beckons and wishes for you to commune at it’s centre once again. Something inside you has been shared in every brush stroke, every intention of shape and colour. It is a part of you expressed in the outside world. It is a gift to be shared.
As yet, this piece has no name.
I welcome any suggestions!

Lovely painting. My favorite colors and I love the bird. I know what you mean about looking and trying to figure out if it is finished or not.
Beautiful painting Tanya. I love all the bright colours that gently flow into one another.
This is stunning and actually makes me drool….sorry for the mess. 🙂
Thanks Janine for also taking the time to comment. Berries…perhaps I could call it “Berries A Bloom”
me too, i know i’m really into a painting when i keep taking sneak peeks. (and the opposite too)
when i look at this painting i think of berries, forest berries 🙂
I feel the exact same way about painting. I love the process of a painting evolving without knowing the final result. I always sneek peeks afterwards to see if I feel the same way later. Great post! A name that I thought of was “Bloom” ( I love Sarah Mclaughlan and she has an album titled Bloom – I’ve always liked that name).
Nice to know others feel and do the same lol! I like Bloom and I LOVE Sarah Mclaughlan! her music has kept me company through a few grieving periods 🙂
